America's Got Talent will see a big change this season

Due in large part to its size, NBC's America's Got Talent has grown to become one of the most watched talent competition programs.

Although viewers have become accustomed to the show's transition from the massive audition stage to the much larger live events, this season will see a significant alteration in that formula.

In contrast to previous seasons, season 17's live performances will take place in the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, which is also where the auditions have been held.

The live finals have always been held in the bigger and venerable Dolby Theater in Hollywood once auditions and judges' cuts are finished.

For the live performances this season, however, the program will continue to use their home theater, which viewers have grown accustomed to owing to the numerous pictures highlighting the magnificent location throughout the audition episodes.

With several performers moving on to the second round and six receiving golden buzzers and becoming quick finals, AGT has been building up to an exciting series of live performances.

Simon Cowell said, "By the way, Howie, I've had days of misery without you.

Fans were disappointed to find that Howie Mandel was not on the panel of judges at the most recent auditions since he was a source of fun and brightness.

The comedian missed two audition episodes because he had tested positive for Covid-19 at the time of shooting.

Host Terry Crews noted at the beginning of the show, "Howie is not here today, we wish him the best and hope he gets well quickly and goes right back in that chair," with audiences and the judging panel both expressing their regret as they continued.

“America's Got Talent” 2022 live shows will begin Tuesday, August 9

The "America's Got Talent" 2022 live events will start on Tuesday, August 9, according to NBC, with the first results show taking place on Wednesday, August 10. The competitions for Season 17 will be conducted at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, where all of the auditions are shot, as opposed to previous seasons when the live performances were held at the Dolby Theatre.

"America's Got Talent" will screen one performance show and one results show each week on NBC until the winner is announced once the live shows begin. There will be three weeks of Quarter-Finals, two weeks of Semi-Finals, and finally the Grand Finale week if this season follows last year's pattern.
