In response to allegations that she had an affair with Elon Musk, Nicole Shanahan speaks out.

Sergey Brin's spouse, Nicole Shanahan, denies having an affair with The tech billionaire Elon Musk.

On July 27, her attorney issued a statement in response to a Wall Street Journal article that cited unnamed sources and claimed she had a brief liaison with the Tesla CEO while living apart from Brin in December. Musk himself has since refuted this accusation.
"Make no mistake, any claim that Nicole had an affair with Elon Musk is not only a blatant falsehood but also libelous," Shanahan's attorney Bryan Freedman told NBC News.

According to the WSJ's article from July 24, which cited its sources, the alleged romance caused Brin to divorce Shanahan earlier this year and also ruined their close relationship. Musk tweeted in reaction to the article: "Absolute nonsense, I'm friends with Sergey, and last night we went to a party together. In three years, Nicole and I have only met twice, and both times, there were many of other people there. Nothing sentimental."

The richest man in the world, according to Forbes, Musk, stated in a blog post that he works "crazy hours, so there really isn't much time for pranks."

A WSJ representative informed E! News in response to his remarks, "We are confident in our sourcing, and we stand by our findings."

The representatives for Shanahan and Sergey Brin have not responded to E! News' requests for comment.

After three years of marriage, Brin—the ninth richest man in the world—filed for divorce from Shanahan in January, citing "irreconcilable disagreements," according to the WSJ. According to the publication, his attorney failed to respond to the newspaper's allegation regarding the purported liaison.

Elon Musk tweeted on July 27 that he had spoken to Sergey and that neither he nor anybody he knows had contacted the Wall Street Journal. To his comments, Sergey Brin has not retaliated.

Who is Nicole Shanahan ?

This past weekend, Elon Musk and Sergey Brin, two of the richest men in the world, had a disagreement that put Silicon Valley entrepreneur and philanthropist Nicole Shanahan in the spotlight.

Despite being married for more than three years, Shanahan and Brin announced in June that they would be divorcing due to "irreconcilable issues." This past weekend, the Wall Street Journal claimed that Musk and Shanahan had an illicit relationship. Musk has now disputed this assertion. The WSJ claims that Shanahan's spokeswoman rebuffed requests for comment.

The report claims that Shanahan and Brin have a prenuptial agreement and are currently debating the details of their divorce, in which she is reportedly seeking more than $1 billion.. That may put her divorce settlement on par with those of the wealthy billionaires MacKenzie Scott and Melinda Gates.

Nicole Shanahan established the Palo Alto-based company ClearAccessIP to assist patent owners in the management and monetization of their IP rights. She's currently employed by CodeX, the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, where she doubles as an attorney and research fellow.. Competitor IPwe purchased it in 2020.

Shanahan, a daughter of Chinese immigrants, has spoken of growing up on state assistance and having a maid for a mother. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Washington State, where she majored in economics, Asian studies, and Mandarin Chinese, according to her LinkedIn page. She attended the National University of Singapore for a short time while an exchange student while obtaining her law degree at Santa Clara University.

In 2019, Shanahan established her own foundation, Bia-Echo, and made a $100 million donation to problems such as criminal justice reform and reproductive longevity, which is the availability of medical technology that allow women to have children later in life. She also backs Democratic political candidates and left-leaning groups.

In an interview with Puck this month, Shanahan stated, "I want to get the word out that and ensure everyone that I am devoted as ever to committing my life's work to social justice, climate solutions, and a smart, caring democracy. And as I go over this divide, I truly believe that I am feeling pretty enthusiastic about how I may develop in this capacity.
